AIHC Leadership Webinar Series – Assessment of IPE to Move Beyond Attitudes: Featured tools and case studies from the field, Part 1
Date: January 8, 2015
Time: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Location: GEB A304
Presenters: Doug Brock, PhD; Chi-Ju Chiu, PhD, PT; Sarah Shrader, PharmD, FCCP, BCPS, CDE; LuAnn Wilkerson, EdD
Overview:
Development of national competencies for interprofessional education (IPE) has brought national attention to interprofessional collaboration (IPC). Most schools, training programs, and universities are implementing IPE to fulfill accreditation standards. However, creating an assessment plan for IPE is also important. The majority of scholarship around IPE has focused on changes in learners attitudes regarding IPC. There has been intensifying interest to assess IPE beyond attitudinal measures.
We will use Barr’s modification of the Kirkpatrick evaluation framework to focus on other methods of assessment for IPE/IPC. This webinar will be a two-part series that focuses on specific measurement tools and case studies from the field that will provide participants with information on how tools are developed, validated, and used to provide quality assessment data.

Archive Now Available – The Diversity Advantage: Incorporating Diversity Principles into the Selection Process
Presenter: Christopher Lee, Ph.D., SPHR (Associate Vice Chancellor for Human Resource Services – Virginia Community College System)
Overview:
Finding the right candidate for administrative, professional and faculty positions is one of the most important tasks that any institution or enterprise undertakes. However, few higher education professionals receive training on the search committee process but are expected to serve on or lead committees. The fact is when relevant diversity, meritocratic and fairness principles are incorporated into the selection process, it actually increases both the fairness and rigor of the search committee process.
Join us for this webinar to learn about research-based methods that have proven to be effective in recruiting and selecting a diverse array of talent. Dr. Christopher Lee will walk us through this research-method, from his award-winning publication, and how to apply it in institutions to recruit and select the most diverse and capable talent available.
